A single-story frame house in a modern Scandinavian style, located on a spacious countryside plot in the village of Zamosc. The house features an impressive two-tone design: the facade is clad with vertical Scandinavian boards in a natural honey-golden shade, while all structural and decorative elements — terrace posts, railings, window trims, eaves soffits, corners, drip edges, and the gutter system — are finished in dark gray (RAL 7024), creating a striking contrast and giving the house a memorable, elegant appearance.
The house dimensions are 12 by 8 meters in plan, with a total area of 96 m² excluding terraces.
The roof is complex, multi-gabled, with two intersecting gable volumes: the main elongated rectangular body has a classic gable roof, while over the entrance and terrace there is a perpendicular gable with floor-to-ridge panoramic glazing, forming a prominent main facade. The roof is covered with dark gray metal tiles and is equipped with tubular snow guards and ventilation outlets. The dark-colored PVC gutter system is neatly installed around the perimeter.
The main facade is the house’s showcase: a tall triangular gable with floor-to-ridge panoramic windows fills the living room with natural light. In front of the gable is a spacious covered terrace with a wooden deck, massive glued-laminated timber posts painted dark gray, and horizontal railings in the same tone. The U-shaped terrace wraps around the main facade and partially along the sides.
The house layout includes a spacious kitchen-living room with a high ceiling following the ridge line and panoramic glazing — this is the central and largest room of the house, combining the cooking, dining, and relaxation areas. From the living room, a corridor leads to the private area of the house, which includes bedrooms, a bathroom, and a utility room. The corridor is finished with horizontal light-colored wooden paneling, and the floor is porcelain stoneware with a light marble texture.
The boiler room is fully equipped and operational: walls are clad with warm-toned wood-effect porcelain stoneware, a wall-mounted gas boiler with digital control, two expansion tanks, a distribution manifold for underfloor heating, an indirect water heater, a pump group, shut-off valves, and polypropylene pipework are installed. A remote heating control system is installed, allowing management via a smartphone.
A dark gray metal fence made of Euro-slat panels surrounds the plot. Near the house, there is a concrete parking pad, and a septic system has been installed on the plot.
Construction and finishing works carried out
Construction was carried out as a full cycle from an empty plot to a move-in-ready house. Initially, the site was prepared — ground leveling and foundation pile installation were performed. Wooden beams from kiln-dried planed boards with waterproofing were installed on the pile heads, followed by floor joists and a subfloor. Next, the structural frame of the first-floor walls was assembled — studs, beams, top plate, interior partitions with braces for rigidity. Then the complex roof system was mounted — the intersection of two gable roofs forming valleys, with battens installed. Windproof boards (MDF) were mounted on the exterior walls, providing wind protection, additional insulation, and structural rigidity. The roof was covered with dark gray metal tiles, with ridge caps, wind boards, valleys, and eaves flashings installed. Tubular snow guards and the gutter system were mounted.
Interior walls were insulated with mineral wool between the frame studs, with vapor barrier membranes installed over all walls, partitions, and ceilings — seams sealed with tape to ensure airtightness. Exterior windproof boards were covered with battens and cladding with vertical Scandinavian honey-colored boards with factory finish. Energy-efficient PVC windows were installed — dark on the outside, white inside, with trims and drip edges mounted.
During interior finishing, electrical wiring, heating, and plumbing were installed. Walls and ceilings were clad with light-colored horizontal wooden panels, with the living room ceiling following the roof slope with a decorative ridge beam. Finished floors — light marble-effect porcelain stoneware — were laid in corridors and common areas. Interior doors with glass inserts in dark frames were installed. Heating equipment in the boiler room was installed. Panel radiators and a designer vertical radiator in the living room were connected. Electrical work — outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures — was completed.
Outside, a spacious covered terrace was built — glued-laminated timber posts, ceiling beams, deck boards, horizontal railings, and steps were installed. The terrace and all wooden elements were painted dark gray. The terrace ceiling was finished with natural-toned boards. Finally, landscaping was completed — paving tiles laid, Euro-slat fence installed, parking pad poured, gates and wicket installed. The house is fully ready for year-round living.
